Nashville, Tennessee
Vern and Chuck Schaeffer's trip to Nashville was a week of radio interviews on WSM (in the Opryland Hotel complex), songwriter workshops and performances at The Commodore Grille, and Nashville Underground among other places in town.
They had the opportunity to perform at Rooster's with other great songwriters among whom was Don Rollins who co-wrote Alan Jackson's hit "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" and Lorna Flowers. The performances were punctuated by their being able to take in some of the best of other musician's work.
Vern played with Brian Molnar in Nashville for a tribute concert to Gram Parsons to facilitate his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
