It was a great night for a very responsive crowd at the Sellersville Theatre in Sellersville, Penn. Vern and Chuck Schaeffer performed two shows and had the pleasure of spending time with Roy and his extraordinary band, back stage.
With Dave Bond and Real Country at the 2013 New Jersey State Agricultural Convention. Over 1,000 New Jersey growers and Governor Chris Christie were in attendance.
Vern and Chuck Schaeffer's trip to Nashville was a week of radio interviews on WSM (in the Opryland Hotel complex), songwriter workshops and performances at The Commodore Grille, and Nashville Underground among other places in town.
They had the opportunity to perform at Rooster's with other great songwriters among whom was Don Rollins who co-wrote Alan Jackson's hit "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" and Lorna Flowers. The performances were punctuated by their being able to take in some of the best of other musician's work.
Vern played with Brian Molnar in Nashville for a tribute concert to Gram Parsons to facilitate his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Vern and Chuck along with The Full Moon Howlin' Band were proud to be the opening act for the great Sonny Landreth, one of the premier electric blues slide guitar players. Sonny was gracious enough to pose for some photos with the band.
It was Vern and Chuck's second time to perform on WFMZ's Music Monday, early in the morning, featuring local singer/songwriters. The WFMZ staff was awesome and made them feel very comfortable. They performed 3 tunes two of which were Chuck Schaeffer's original music.
